The Mollie Darden Circle had a very successful fund raiser with the “Gold Party” in June and will be hosting another on August 5th - 5-8:00 PM in Darden Hall.
It’s a fun evening where you help a worthy cause and also receive money for that unused or broken jewelry that is gathering dust in your jewelry box! Invite your friends, family and come by even if you just want to see what it is all about! Refreshments will be provided.
As information we had someone check with a local pawn shop on their items and they were able to get approximately 25% more from the fundraiser held at Loyd. If you have any questions please talk with Mollie Darden members who were able to participate in June - Bernice Griffeth, Patti Knox, Pat Herring.

There are several volunteer opportunities for Camp Viola:
*Middle school and high school youth and adult volunteers to help with VBS in the afternoons (Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday) from 2:30 – 5:30 PM
*Volunteers to help with arts and crafts in the morning from 9AM – 12:00
*Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and supper on Wednesday, July 15th.
*Prepare desserts for Thursday night’s closing program.

The Young Adults of Loyd Church
will be meeting monthly for a meal, fellowship and study. Recently we met in the home of Teresa and Thomas Moat, at 232 Baywood Circle, where we enjoyed a wonderful meal and a shared a DVD/dialogue, UPRISING: A Revolution of the Soul. Our focus was on the topic, “Life without Limit.”
On Thursday, July 30th, we will be hosted by Chris and Lauri Hester in their home at 259 River Point Dr., beginning at 6:30PM We will continue our study of UPRISING, focusing on “Transformation.”
Childcare is provided at the church beginning at 5:45 p.m. Thanks to Jayne Pauley for arranging for this essential service.
This 6-week study will help us to “shape our character” and transform us “to be more like Jesus.” Please join us for these monthly gatherings!
Don’t forget: we continue to meet on Sundays at 9:45AM for Bible Study in our classroom in the
Sanctuary basement annex! We really hope you will join us!
